Eric Scott - aka Salvador Dalek - brings over 20 years of experience as composer, DJ and artist in his professional field of multimedia and design. Salvador Dalek, an identity he forged in 2001 with composer/VJ collaborator Peter Moraites is an ongoing music production and DJ project where Eric remixes the work of his collaborators to create the sounds he loves most - from trip-hop, drum'n'bass, dubstep, breakbeat, IDM and a myriad of other music influences, electronic and otherwise. Always the music junkie (with a library at over 175,000 tracks) Eric admits to being a "bit of a musical sponge" when it comes to absorbing new sounds. Since his earliest days as a child playing and experimenting with tape recorders and soon after, a Tascam 4-track, Eric began his professional journey in recording as a sound designer (using one of Studer's earliest DAW prototypes from 1990 at an all-Mac studio in Hollywood) and classic audio engineering.
Eric created the Day For Night label in 1991 as a boutique independent music imprint, focusing on an original catalogue of electronic, downtempo, abstract, pop and avant-garde-jazz-classical music releases connected to his own work and production. Salvador Dalek DJ mix recordings include the 2007 trilogy "Beat The Time", "The Inner Cinema" (2007) and "Junction - Another Train Leaving". Eric's solo recordings also include "3 Mains" (1991), "Paris - A Musical Overpass" (1995), while he has also worked under the names Rhythm Factory, Bluebottles, Found, Mr. No-Logo, Künstfabriken and King FM. In 2011 alone, Eric has remixed a broad variety of artists in diverse styles, from Euro-Israeli pop chanteuse Keren Ann, John Foxx, David Lynch, Martin Solveig and musique concrète composer Luc Ferrari.
Since 1998, Eric expanded Day For Night Multimedia to go beyond his lifetime passion for creativity, music and composition, adding a plethora of services in comprehensive design and strategic solutions, consultation and development in web properties and viral multimedia, branding and identity, and of course, original music production and underscore for film. Eric also currently serves as marketing director and manager for CVA Gallery, specializing in the online retail of abstract and surrealist art.
